Ghent & St Bavo's Cathedral -
The medieval city of Ghent boasts a 14th-century belfry, historic St. Michael's Bridge and stunning St. Bavo's Cathedral, home of "The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb," a renowned 15th-century artwork. In the autumn of 2012, a long process of 5 years will start to renovate the panels of 'The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb'. Throughout the whole process, the panels that are not being restored at that moment, are still available to see in St Bavo's Cathedral for the public. The others are being replaced by copies.
