Revel in Bruges's well-preserved architectural jewels with a guided walking tour through its historical center, appointed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Your adventure begins when you meet your knowledgeable guide and board the coach at the Zeebrugge pier to travel through the scenic Flemish countryside. Once in Bruges, set out across the cobblestone streets to Burg Square. Soak up its charm as you view stunning examples of Gothic architecture such as the Basilica of the Holy Blood, begun in 1134 in the Romanesque style and finished in 1157 in Gothic; the 15th century Town Hall, and the 83-meter-tall (272-foot-tall) Belfry, which dates back to 1486. Market Square is home to rows of medieval guild houses now filled with cafes, and restaurants. Before returning to Zeebrugge, you'll have time to yourself to shop for gifts like Belgian chocolate or purchase a sugar-dusted Belgian waffle.
