Get your adrenaline pumping with a vigorous hike in the Monte Arcosu Nature Reserve, a protected area owned by the World Wildlife Foundation. Covering over 9,800 acres, the rugged terrain is home to Sardinian deer, wild cats, and 80 species of birds, including the peregrine falcon and the very rare Sardinian goshawk. Your adventure begins at the pier where a 4x4 awaits to whisk you to the reserve. During your journey, you'll stop for photos at Santa Gilla Ponds, a 3,200-acre habitat of almost 200 bird species. Photos taken, you'll climb back into the 4x4 and continue up the mountain to the trail head where you'll disembark. From here you'll follow your guide through paths enriched by beautiful and fragrant vegetation and may even be lucky enough to spot a Sardinian deer. At the end of your trek, refuel with a picnic of Sardinian snacks and refreshments.
