Tap into your inner Indiana Jones and discover some of Malta's most exceptional ancient sites. The first treasure you'll explore is the Hypogeum of Hal Saflieni, the island's oldest underground temple and necropolis. Only 80 visitors each day can experience this astonishing site and Princess has arranged a visit just for you! Hypogeum literally means "underground," and when you enter you'll see a series of chambers, halls and passages on three different levels ranging in age from 3600 to 2500 B.C. The second level features sophisticated stonework and boasts a number of temple-like rooms including the Oracle Room, the Decorated Room and the Snake Pit. Your next destination is the Tarxien Temples, an imposing complex featuring decorative friezes, an altar table and a colossal stone statue. The adventure continues to Wied iz Zurrieq, one of the oldest towns in Malta where you can explore on your own.
