Discover Malta's iconic treasures on an all-day adventure that takes you from east to west. A short drive along the coast brings you to the ancient temple of Hagar Qim. Standing on a hilltop overlooking the sea, the megalithic temple complex dates as far back as 3000 B.C. A 4D film introduction at the visitor's center details the history of these impressive Neolithic ruins.
Visit Wied iz Zurrieq, a little village tucked on Malta's west coast is home to rugged cliffs, deep sea waters and hidden caves. Here, you can choose to take an optional boat ride into the famous Blue Grotto and its surrounding caves, enjoy photo opportunities of the small inlet, check out local souvenirs or enjoy a refreshing beverage in a café'.
Next on the itinerary is a traditional Maltese lunch. Refreshed, you'll head to Valletta for a walking tour of this incredible World Heritage city. Stroll along its historic streets to the 16th century St. John's Co-Cathedral, considered one of the best examples of Baroque architecture in Europe. Step inside for views of the floor inlaid with the glittering tombs of 400 knights and a moving painting by Caravaggio. After witnessing the daily four o'clock gun salute at the Upper Barrakka Gardens, you'll return to the pier. .
Special Notes:
Attire that covers shoulders and knees should be worn in the cathedral.On Sundays, Public Holidays and on state events tour groups are not allowed inside the cathedrals due to mass services therefore, you will visit the the Malta Experience Show, instead.
