Acquaint yourself with Valencia's cultural attractions with a five-hour excursion that begins with a sightseeing tour around Valencia. Next, a walking tour of the Old Quarter includes a leisurely stroll past the century-old North Railway Station; City Hall, a neoclassical building built in the early 20th century; Central Market and the impressive La Lonja, or Old Silk Exchange, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to 1482. You next stop is the ancient village of La Vall d'Uixó, site of the stunning San José Caves. After you board a boat, you may have to lower your head as it winds its way down the mile-long river cruising past a treasure trove of spectacular stalactite and stalagmite formations with names like "El Diablo," the "Bat Room" and "La Medusa." At the end of the tour you'll rejoin your coach for the scenic ride back to the pier.
Special Notes:
Temperature in the caves averages 60F, please dress accordingly.Most stores in the Old Quarter are closed on Sundays.
Many of the shops are closed during Lunch Time.
Due to city regulations please note that it is not possible to make a photo stop at the North Railway Station, Town Hall and Central Market and most of the historical center. Guests need to be advised that the visit to these venues will be by foot.
