This easy-going tour around Trondheim is the perfect way to get to know this pretty town. Accompanied by your guide, you will tour the Folk Museum at Sverresborg, observing how the Norwegians lived in medieval times. View ancient cooking and farming implements that were gathered from surrounding districts, and re-assembled to provide a historically-accurate cross-section of life in the 16th century. Then head back into Trondheim, where you will visit Nidaros Cathedral, which is built on the grave of Saint Olav. Building on this Gothic-style church began in 1070 and finished in the 12th century. You will also stop at the Sverresli viewpoint, to enjoy excellent panoramic views of Trondheim fjord and the city. At the end of the tour, (morning departure only), you will have the option of remaining in town to browse the many shops for gifts to take home.
