This half-day tour is a "day at the beach." Your transfer to the beach begins with a scenic, 45 minute drive from Port of Spain to Maracas Bay. En route, drive past the Magnificent Seven, a group of extravagant and eccentrically designed mansions lining the western side of the Queen's Park Savannah, built around the turn of the century. Traverse one of the most picturesque and lush areas of Trinidad's Northern Range, including Maraval, before descending on Maracas Bay. The beach is lined with palms and surrounded by densely covered hills, caressed by the North East trade winds. For 2 hours, you're free to swim or simply relax under the warm sun. Be sure to sample shark-n-bake, as Maracas Beach is the best place on the island to savor this delicacy.
Special Notes:
A snack area, changing facilities and showers are available. There is a charge to use the restrooms. This tour does not include narration and escorts are assigned randomly to accompany the tour to the beach to help organize the beach portion. Chairs are available for a nominal charge.
