The excitement of a Princess Cruise continues on disembarkation day when you board your coach for a scenic drive from the port of Trieste to Tronchetto. Here, you'll board a privately chartered boat that will take you into the heart of Venice. Once in the city you'll meet a local guide who'll lead you on a walking tour of St. Mark's Square and its magnificent treasures. Among the sights you'll see includes Doge's Palace, a symbol of the republic and a splendid example of fine Venetian Gothic architecture. If you're looking for awe-inspiring Byzantine architecture, look no further than the Basilica, famed for its five gilded domes.
