Relax as you spend the morning discovering your host city from two different perspectives – on water and on land. At the end of the tour, you can return to your ship with your guide or stay in the lively city center for some independent sightseeing. First is a cruise out into the Bay of Toulon past France's largest naval base, golden beaches, and picturesque fishing villages. Back on dry land, you'll follow your guide to the National Navy Museum and on to the unique Sainte-Marie-de-la-Seds Cathedral. Your guide will continue to point out areas of interest as you walk to Liberty Square, Toulon's main square. Your last stop is the open-air market on Cours Lafayette, a wide, shady boulevard famous for its fruits, vegetables, and flowers, as well as vendors selling clothes, tablecloths, and homemade fruit preserves and honey.
