Board your motorcoach and travel country roads to 14th century Rakvere Castle, built by the warrior monks of the Livonian Order. Today the castle is a medieval experience centre complete with catapults, dungeons and live cannon. Explore the ruins of the castle and enjoy lunch in its courtyard. Return to Tallinn for a walking tour of Toompea Hill, named for the fortress that now houses Estonia's parliament. See the Pikk Hermann, a medieval tower some 150 feet in height. Stroll to Palace Square, site of the Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Step inside to view its icons. Continue to the Dome Church. St. Mary's Cathedral is Tallinn's oldest church; nobility have been buried here since the 15th century. View the stone sarcophagi before enjoying free time to shop for souvenirs.

On Sundays and in the event of religious events, the Dome Church will be seen from the outside only due to church services.Flash photography or video cameras are not permitted in the Dome Church or Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
Euro is the currency of Estonia. US currency is not normally accepted at many of the venues. Credit cards or Euros are recommended when shopping for souvenirs.
Since tour buses are not allowed to drive inside the Old Town, walking distance from the bus parking area to the Old Town may vary as it is up a hill.
Visits to the Torture and Hell Chambers are non-guided and optional.
Rakvere is located approx 1,5h drive from Tallinn.
