Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
Take off on a beach getaway. While a beach won't be the first thing that comes to mind when you visit Scotland, the island boasts some beautiful beaches that rival the Caribbean's. From Stornoway, it's a scenic drive across the moorland heading to the North of Lewis, where lakes and rivers dominate the landscape. Your destination is the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse, the most northerly point on the Island. Once you step off the coach, you may notice a vigorous breeze-the area is in the Guinness Book of Records for being the windiest place in the UK. Standing 37 meters (121 feet) high, the lighthouse is surrounded by giant cliffs that have spectacular views. After soaking up the beautiful, rugged coastline scenery, you'll head to the Port of Ness Beach for free time to stroll the golden sand, snap a few pictures or purchase a snack at the café.
