What you will visit:
Local Banana Plantation
Banana plantations are found throughout St. Lucia, and the popular fruit is one of the country's top three exports. A locally guided tour offers an in-depth, personal experience of a St. Lucian banana plantation. Learn about the island's history with the crop, the type of banana grown and exactly how bananas are harvested. You'll learn why St. Lucian bananas are our smaller than traditional bananas, but after tasting them, you'll find that the flavor is much sweeter.
Anse La Raye
The quintessential Caribbean fishing village Anse La Raye, located on St. Lucia's scenic west coast, charms with centuries-old French and English colonial architecture, quaint wooden houses, and brightly painted fishing boats that bob on the waterfront. Its Roman Catholic church, on the site of the oldest church on the island, is a highlight, and the tiny village bakery still uses a wood-fired oven, the secret to its incredible Creole bread and coconut-filled turnovers.
What you will see along the way:
Settle in to your motorcoach for a drive from port through the city center, taking in some highlights along the way. Then venture along the picturesque west coast of the island, where stunning tropical beauty and natural attractions dominate the Caribbean Sea side of the island.
