Discover tropical flora on a guided hike through the rainforest that's just steps away from the historic Romney Manor. First, a sightseeing tour takes you past Old Road, site of the Caribbean's very first British settlement. A photo stop at Carib Rock showcases stunning petroglyphs, evidence of early Kalinago culture. Then, it's on to Caribelle Batik at Romney Manor for a demonstration of batik-making. Next, follow your guide for an exhilarating walk along a pleasant, looped trail that takes you deep into the cool rainforest. Marvel at the rich biodiversity of this well wooded area as the guide shares his knowledge of the forest. See coconut palms, lemon trees, bougainvillea, and hibiscus, and critters like caterpillars, colorful lizards, hummingbirds, and others that make their home in the canopy. At the end of your walk, enjoy a selection of homemade local fruit juices, fresh seasonal fruit, pastries, and spring water.
