Your activity-packed day starts in the ancient town of Salona, which was once the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia and the birthplace of Diocletian. You will have 45 minutes to explore the many excavated ruins including the amphitheater, Christian churches, public baths and burial grounds that date back to the 2nd century. Returning to to the bus, enjoy the coastline and lush green countryside for the 20-minute journey to Trogir, a World Heritage Site since 1997, that is connected to the mainland by a small bridge. Head to St Lawrence Cathedral, a medieval masterpiece that boasts an impressive 154ft bell tower that dates back to the 14th century. Nearby, Cipiko Palace features a carved Venetian Gothic window, while the Town Hall is famous for its beautiful Gothic staircase. Browse the shops for a leisurely hour before heading back to the bus.

This tour features extensive walking over uneven surfaces. Not recommended for passengers with limited mobility. Wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes.Tour groups are not allowed inside the St. Lawrence Cathedral during mass services. Shopping will be limited on Sundays.
