Your activity-packed day starts in the ancient town of Salona, which was once the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia and the birthplace of Diocletian. Returning to to the bus, enjoy the coastline and lush green countryside for the 20-minute journey to Trogir, a World Heritage Site since 1997, that is connected to the mainland by a small bridge. Head to St Lawrence Cathedral, a medieval masterpiece that boasts an impressive 154ft bell tower that dates back to the 14th century. Nearby, Cipiko Palace features a carved Venetian Gothic window, while the Town Hall is famous for its beautiful Gothic staircase. Browse the shops for a leisurely hour before heading back to the bus.
