With an hour of free time to go where you wish, head for St Lawrence Cathedral, Trogir's grandest building that boasts an impressive bell tower and is a fine example of Romanesque-Gothic architecture. Stroll the narrow streets lined with stone houses, churches and monasteries and visit Cipiko Palace, which features a notable Venetian-Gothic window. Journey back to Split and tour Diocletian's Palace, a walled town boasting shops, restaurants and courtyards. Then stroll to the nearby St Dominus's Cathedral, which houses an impressive collection of jeweled artifacts.
