Take the wheel of a four-wheel drive Kawasaki "Mule" through the lush forest of the pristine Alaska wilderness! You'll journey along the Takshanuk Mountain Trail on this amazing 6.25-hour adventure.
Enjoy a guided cruise aboard a high-speed catamaran along North America's longest and deepest fjord to Haines, with spectacular views of waterfalls and icy peaks. A short transfer brings you to the Takshanuk ("land of falling waters") trailhead, where you'll hop on your four-wheel-drive vehicle. Marvel at beautiful waterfalls and crystal-clear creeks on your way to meadows at an elevation of 1,500 feet. Spectacular views abound!
On the way down, you will stop at a mountaintop lodge with a warm fire for a tasty lunch. After descending the rest of the trail, enjoy a scenic motor coach ride along Lutak Inlet before cruising back to the ship.
Special Notes:
The Kawasaki Mules are easily accessible and have storage for oxygen tanks and collapsible wheelchairs. Guests must be able to take steps on and off the modes of transportation. Tide conditions can make ramp to the fast ferry dock very steep; guests with limited mobility should keep this in mind.Guests wishing to drive must be at least 21 years old and bring a valid driver's license. Each mule is shared to accommodate up to four guests but can be extended to five to keep groups together. Vegetarian meal is available. Please notify Tour Office onboard at least 24 hours prior to tour.

Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.
Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
