Description
Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
After a short transfer from the pier, board a helicopter for a flight with views of the glacially carved landscape. You'll lift off from the historic Skagway waterfront and head into a rugged region of sheer mountains, majestic valleys and massive glaciers.
After landing, you'll set off on a four- to five-mile nature hike along the remote upper Skagway River to view magnificent Laughton Glacier. Throughout the hike, your guides will provide information about the region's unique natural history, allowing plenty of time for potential wildlife sightings and photographs. Bears, mountain goats and moose all call the Laughton Valley home.
Upon arrival back at Glacier Station, you'll board the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad for the scenic ride back to Skagway with a snack of salmon pate' and crackers. This historic iron trail was carved through some of the North's most rugged terrain in 1898. So bring your camera as there's plenty of scenery along the way.
