Designed for small groups, the tour is a great way to interact with the friendly locals beginning when you meet residents Leni or Bent at the pier. Soak up its charms as they lead you past half-timbered homes painted in a distinct shade of yellow adorned with red tile roofs giving this tiny village a romantic aura and old-world charm. Learn about the town's rich history and cultural significance as you amble past Ancher's House, the Skagen Museum that exhibits an extensive collection of works by members of the colony of Skagen painters who lived and worked in the area in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and other historical landmarks. One of the tour's highlights is a visit to the home of Leni and Bent, local residents who will open their doors and invite you in for a cup of coffee or tea, along with delicious Danish pastry.
Special Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate clothes. One of the hosts will meet guests on the pier and join them during the entire tour. Guests must respect the rules at the home of the locals.Details
