Departing your ship and head to Clarke Quay. Here board a boat and start off our river cruise which will pass the Raffles landing site as we sail along the river that was once the city's main commercial lifeline. Today, the modern world combines with the idyllic charm of the quays, a union that is Singapore. The recorded narrated 30-minute cruise offers you the history of the city as you cruise past the modern skyscrapers and restored shop-houses lining the riverbank.
Docking back at Clarke Quay (one of the three that make up the river), take a short drive to the Thian Hock Keng Temple. Constructed in the temple architectural style of southern China, Thian Hock Keng has a grand entrance with a high step in front.
Onto our journey as our walk starts from Telok Ayer to Ann Siang Hill before we reach to the centre of Chinatown and you can see the Sri Mariamman Temple. Built in 1827, it's the oldest Hindu Temple in the city. Explore Chinatown with some free time for shopping.
