Enjoy a half-day guided walking tour of Taormina, one of Sicily's most popular vacation spots. Once you arrive you'll board a lift that will take you from the parking area to the town center. Have your camera handy as you amble along the streets lined with medieval mansions, Gothic ruins and charming homes adorned with flowerboxes. One of the first sites you'll encounter is the city's most popular attraction-the Greco Roman Theater. Carved out of the hillside in the 3rd century B.C., the theater boasts panoramic views of the Sicilian coastline, the mountains of southern Calabria and Mount Etna. From here you'll stroll to Corso Umberto, Taormina's main thoroughfare and home to the Palazzo Corvaja. Dating back to the 14th century, the fortress is a lively mix of Arab, Norman, and Catalan-Gothic architecture. Indulge in an exclusive lunch. After free time, you'll stroll through the lovely Public Garden before returning to Messina.
