A picturesque one-hour drive from Sibenik to Trogir travels along the scenic Primosten Riviera. Situated on a small island nestled between the mainland and the larger island of Ciovo, Trogir is accessible only by bridge. The entire island is covered in spectacular stone houses, palaces, churches, monasteries, towers, and city walls and is dotted with a handful of serene, green parks. Your walking tour starts in the pedestrian-only Old Town area with a visit to the remarkable Cathedral of St. Lawrence (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). This 13th-century building is considered to be one of the finest examples of sacral architecture in Croatia, and its famed main portal was carved by local artist Radovan. The cathedral's unusual construction, with three naves and three semicircular apses, dominates the town skyline. Other fine buildings you will see on your tour are the Town Loggia, the Town Hall, and Cipiko Palace. After admiring Trogir, board the motorcoach for the relaxing drive back to port.
