Get acquainted with the city of Cadiz. Over 3,000 years old, it's the oldest city in southwestern Europe and boasts a rich history dating back before the Common Era. Your walking tour begins as soon as you step off your ship. A short 15-minute walk brings you to the city's center, a colorful mosaic of sounds, smells and sights. Your first stop is the Town Hall or Ayuntamiento. Built in two stages, in 1799 and 1861, it is a prime example of neoclassical architecture. After your visit, you'll walk to the Cadiz Cathedral. Constructed with gold and silver brought from the New World - its golden dome towering over the Baroque-style building, which is enhanced with neoclassic elements. After the visit enjoy another brief stop for some refreshments, before coming back to the pier.

Wear comfortable walking shoes. The order of the tour may be change, as the Town Hall can be visited until 12.30pm only.The visit to the Town Hall can be cancelled due to Government meetings.
