What you will visit:
The Coffee Museum
In commemoration of 100 years of Brazilian independence, the Coffee Museum, located within the walls of a former palace built in 1922, is a showpiece for beautiful architecture-filled with light that pours in from more than 200 doors and windows-and a celebration of the aromatic bean. Coffee was Brazil's most significant export at the end of the 19th century as you will see on a stroll through exhibits and audio-visual displays dedicated to the history of coffee production in Brazil. The café serves coffee from some of the rarest beans in the country.
Museum of the Santos Football Club
Embark on a journey through the history of the famed Santos Football Club, recognized by FIFA, the international sanctioning body for soccer, as the greatest team in the Americas. This multimedia museum is chock-full of memorabilia that celebrates the legendary football (soccer) team. View 600 trophies, the silver medal won by the Brazilian national team at the 2012 Olympics, plus displays dedicated to such legends as Pelé and Neymar, in addition to archival photographs, banners, uniforms, and much more in well-organized, themed halls.
Santos Municipal Aquarium
Captivating visitors for over 70 years, the Santos Aquarium is the oldest in Brazil. Inaugurated in 1945, Acqua Mundo is the largest aquarium in South America. With over 30 tanks and 1.3 million liters of fresh and salt water, each tank reproduces the natural habitat of the marine animals that call it home. Sea lions, sharks, penguins and 4,000 freshwater and seawater fish frolic in the tanks. Watch for divers as they hand-feed some of the creatures, admire 150 species of aquatic fauna, delight in the turtle tank and make friends with sea urchins and anemones in supervised touch tanks. The aquarium was included in the 1995 Guinness Book of World Records for being the largest in Brazil.
