Take a scenic drive along one of Italy's most breathtaking stretches of coastline-the Amalfi coast. You'll drive from Salerno to Sorrento where you'll have approximately 90 minutes of free time to stroll the cobblestone side streets, explore the shops lining the main boulevard or walk along the rocky shoreline. Further along the coast, we'll stop for an authentic Italian lunch at a 1st class restaurant before continuing on to the city of Amalfi where you'll have 45 minutes of free time to explore the main center and gaze up at the grandeur of the Cathedral that overlooks the Piazza Duomo. The return journey will proceed by motorboat and coach to Salerno.
Special Notes:
The motorboat ride Is subject to weather and sea conditions. In case the motorlaunch ride cannot be conducted, an alternate stop on the Amalfi Coast (Minori, Maiori Or Vietri Sul Mare) will be made.The vessel used may vary in size and capacity, and have inside or outside seating.
During the end of October and the months of November and December, due to the closure of most of the lunch venues on the Amalfi Coast, lunch might be served in Sorrento instead.
The drive from Salerno to Sorrento takes approximately 1 1/2 hours; the drive from Sorrento to the Amalfi Coast takes approximately 1 1/2 hours; the motorlaunch ride from Amalfi to Salerno takes approximately 45 minutes.
Roads on the Amalfi Coast are narrow and winding. Passengers who suffer from motion sickness should take this into consideration.
This tour cannot be operated on pre-holidays and holidays, due to traffic regulation on the Amalfi Coast.
