Once you disembark, you'll be struck by the buildings, costumed characters, experienced guides and archaeologists that help create the atmosphere of 17th century Quebec City. See recreations of Upper Town, with its fortified ramparts, citadel and other defensive works; and Lower Town, which developed around the harbor and Place Royale, known as the city's spiritual and historical heart. Other highlights include the Huron village, which celebrates the contributions of the First Nations people and Cent Associés, a replica of the French trading post that was chartered to capitalize on the burgeoning fur trade. And everywhere you look you'll meet re-enactors demonstrating crafts and everyday skills typical of this time period while explaining the way of life in New France. When your walk through history comes to an end, you'll return to your transportation, perhaps laden with crafts from the gift shop and return to the pier.
