This comprehensive 2.25-hour excursion takes you to a number of stirring sites and includes plenty of photo opportunities. Perched on the Saguenay and the Chicoutimi rivers, 338-year-old Chicoutimi was on the trading route of the First Nations people and it was here that the French established the area's first fur trading post. Your first stop is the Little White House. Preserved as a historical park, the home survived a deadly flood in 1996. Another photo stop awaits you at the Pulp Mill of Chicoutimi. Listed on the Canadian Register as a National Historic Site, the mill was built between 1898 and 1923. As you wind your way back to the pier you'll pass the Fjord Museum, an interactive museum that details the fjord's history and geology. Then, have your cameras ready…because you'll soon pass the Ha! Ha! Pyramid, a 70-foot tall pyramid erected to commemorate the 1996 Saguenay flood.
