Riga boasts a rich architectural heritage with Gothic and Baroque buildings tucked around every corner. It's also home to one of the largest collections of Art Nouveau structures anywhere in the world. What better way to explore the city's architectural delights than aboard a vintage electric tram? Built at the height of the Art Nouveau era, the tram was reconstructed according to drafts and pictures. From the pier, your small group will follow the guide to a nearby park where you'll board the tram and glide down beautiful boulevards offering views of Old Riga, the National Opera, the Freedom Monument and Basteja Hill, once the site of a defensive wall. Your guided walking tour begins in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed historic center. Stroll past medieval landmarks including the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter's Church, and House of the Blackheads with free time to shop for souvenirs or refreshments.
