This tour for the senses begins with a drive to Riga's Central Market where you'll taste your way through Riga's most renowned flavors. Once the site of hangars used to house German-made Zeppelin airships, the market is now a cornucopia of earthy sausage, cheese and black bread, smoked fish, fresh fruit and vegetables and much more. Your guide will share how Latvian cuisine was one of the most important parts of Latvian identity in Soviet times. Nibble your way through while soaking up the atmosphere where people shop, meet, talk and spend their daily time. From here, you'll board a bus for a panoramic drive around famous Riga's boulevards and disembark at Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marvel at the impressive 13th century Dome Cathedral, 13th century St. Jacob's Church and the 515-year-old House of the Blackheads, bombed during WWII and rebuilt in 1999.
