You'll board an air-conditioned motorcoach for a scenic 60-minute drive along the east coast of Rhodes, passing historic Mandraki Harbor where the Colossus of Rhodes-one of the seven wonders of the ancient world-once stood. We'll visit the breathtaking Acropolis of Lindos. See the magnificent remains of past civilizations. Marvel at the 4th century, B.C. Temple of Athena Lindia of Doric architecture. The view is truly panoramic. A shuttle bus is available from the partking area to take you down to Lindos Village. Stroll its charming narrow streets, browse the shops or sit at a café and enjoy a snack.Prior to heading back to the pier, we'll stop off at a ceramics factory in Lindos to shop for ceramics, one of the crafts that Rhodes is best known for.
Special Notes:
Approximately 270 steps and cobblestone pathways lead to the Acropolis of Lindos. A shuttle bus is available to transfer visitors from the coach parking to Lindos Village. Passengers with physical limitations are requested to take this into consideration.Please be aware ongoing restoration work is often carried out. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
The drive from Rhodes Town to Lindos is approximately one hour long each way.
