You'll board an air-conditioned motorcoach for a scenic drive along the east coast of Rhodes, passing by Mandraki Harbor where the Colossus of Rhodes-one of the seven wonders of the ancient world-once stood. Photo opportunities include the Acropolis of Lindos with its magnificent remains of the Temple of Athena Lindia; beautiful St. Paul's Bay where the Apostle is believed to have sought shelter during a storm; the Marine Gate, a magnificent gate on the medieval wall that surrounds Old Town.
You'll have an opportunity to get a picture-perfect shot of Monte Smith, Rhodes' Old Acropolis named after a British admiral who used the site to survey the bay. Prior to heading back to the pier, pause at a jewelry factory and museum or at a ceramic shop.
