What you will visit:
Tropical Forest Sky Walk
You're on top of the world when you traverse a series of suspension bridges, hovering more than 126 feet above ground, at Tropical Forest Sky Walk. This eco-adventure combines walking trails through the Monteverde Rainforest with a thrilling series of three cable bridges that span stretches between 270 and 330 feet in length. Gaze out at spectacular vistas of the Tarcoles River, the coastline and the deep-blue ocean in the distance as tropical birds, colorful butterflies and monkeys peek out to say hello from within the leafy trees.
Pura Vida Gardens and Waterfalls
Enter magical Pura Vida Gardens, expansive private grounds featuring 60 acres of manicured walkways that reveal spectacular panoramic views around every bend. More than 400 species of endemic and exotic flowering plants are found here, including several species of delicate orchids beautifully set against a backdrop of sparkling coastline, tumbling waterfalls and towering mountains. A stroll through the grounds of this photographer's paradise reveals delicate butterflies as well as colorful parrots, macaws, toucans and parakeets chattering happily from the trees.
What you will see along the way:
Your picturesque drive takes in small beach towns and lovely views of the Pacific coastline.
Photo Opportunity:
In the garden, use a zoom lens to capture the butterflies, birds and delicate floral blooms that fill your frame with color. Be sure to pose in front of the tallest waterfall in Costa Rica. And a photo stop at the Tarcoles Bridge is an opportunity to take a "selfie" with the largest population of crocodiles in the world, thriving in the waters below.
Shopping:
Pura Vida Gardens has a small gift shop that specializes in handicrafts and locally produced artwork.
Lunch:
After your guided walk, a typical Costa Rican lunch will be served at Pura Vida's main restaurant.
