Bring good luck and your sense of adventure when you fish the nutrient-rich waters of the Río Maullín. The southwesterly route from Puerto Mott includes paved roads and the road leading to the river is bumpy. When you arrive at the banks of the beautiful Río Maullín, you'll disembark and receive your fishing gear plus instructions. The small number of guests ensures that each participant will receive personal attention from their guide. Then, you will board a small boat for an approximately eight-mile ride to the ideal spot. While passing dense and silent forests, you might be lucky enough to catch brown trout, rainbow trout and chinook, king and coho salmon. Note that fish can't be brought back on board the ship, fishing is all catch-and-release. During the day, a picnic lunch will be served. When it's time to call it a day, you'll return to your ship.
Special Notes:
Although only a few horse flies live near this river, wear light-colored clothing to avoid attracting them. Bring insect repellent. As fish cannot be brought back to the ship, fishing will be catch-and-release. A catch is likely but is not guaranteed. Bring a towel. Tour accommodates two guests per boat and is priced per person. Book early as only three boats are available. Minimum age is 12 years.Details
