Add a land tour to your cruise for a pinch-me-I-must-be-dreaming adventure that begins with a transfer to a hotel in Mauritius for a one-night stay. On Day Two you'll fly to Johannesburg, have lunch in Soweto, visit the home of former president Nelson Mandela and check into the 54 On Bath Hotel. Day Three, you'll fly to Hoedspruit Airport and transfer to Kapama River Lodge, your home for the next four nights. After a welcome drink and lunch, set off on an exciting 4WD sundowner safari and dinner back at lodge. Day Four includes an early morning safari and afternoon game drive, dinner at the lodge in the evening. Days Five and Six include an early morning safari followed by breakfast and leisure. Savor afternoon tea and a sundowner game activity then dinner at the lodge. Departure on Day Seven begins with breakfast, checkout and a flight to Cape Town where you'll join your ship.

VISASIt is each guest's sole responsibility to obtain (before traveling) any visas, vaccinations and/or tourist cards that are required for participating in overland adventures or overnight tours, unless noted otherwise in the description. Please be aware that you may need a visa for any and/or all countries that you will depart from and travel through as part of your overland adventure or overnight tour, and for the country in which you will re-join the ship. Two consecutive blank, passport pages are required per entry into South Africa.

Please note that this overland price is per person based on Single occupancy.The minimum age to participate is 6.
Due to this tour's popularity, exclusivity, and strict booking conditions, tour bookings must be confirmed 120 days prior to the call of the overland's departure with no cancellations permitted thereafter.
Waitlisted requests also become non-refundable if confirmed either onboard or within the 120-day period prior to the cruise. Any cancelled requests inside of 120 days prior to the voyage (i.e. bookings cancelled on the Cruise Personalizer) will be assessed cancellation fees on your shipboard account. Waitlisted requests will be cleared in the order received and are subject to the same cancellation policy; waitlisted requests must be cancelled 120 days prior to the cruise to avoid cancellation costs in the case we are able to accommodate you on the tour.
TRAVEL TIPS
Guests are permitted to travel with one piece of hand luggage not exceeding 7 kgs. (15 lbs.) and a dimension of 115 cms (45 inches).
All hand luggage must be of a size that fits under the seat in front of you or in one of the overhead lockers.
Guests are permitted to check-in one piece of luggage at a maximum of 20 kgs. (44 lbs.) and maximum dimension of 158 cms (62 inches).
Any excess or overweight baggage fees incurred are the responsibility of the guests.
Local Currency at Kruger National Park: ZAR (USD not accepted at the lodge – credit cards accepted).
South Africa's electrical system is 220/230 volts A/C 50 cycles. Most hotels and lodges have hair dryers and plug adaptors in the bedrooms.
If you bring electric appliances, take along an international converter kit complete with a set of adapter plugs.
Outlets in South Africa require a three-pronged adapter plug with 3 round prongs.
Adapters can be brought from home as not all will be provided.
Be aware, however, that overnight recharging may not be possible where generator use restricts the availability of electricity.
Medical Restriction:
Please be aware that this is a malaria risk area and that the necessary medication has been taken.Please note that the game drive vehicles traverse uneven terrain and that the game drives can be bumpy. This tour is therefore not recommended for guests with back and neck problems. This Overland Tour is not recommended for guests using mobility devices.
