Walk through the pages of history as you explore this enchanting isle. After meeting your driver and guide at the pier, you'll head to Eureka Colonial House, a magnificent 19th century estate. Wander through the rooms that contain antique furniture, old photographs, chinaware, books and rugs before rejoining your coach and continuing on through a landscape of country and city. Enjoy a photo stop at the Marie Reine de la Paix Monument, which sits atop scenic Signal Mountain, site of the Mass celebrated by Pope John Paul on his first official visit to Mauritius. Proceed to Port Louis to shop the colorful market in search of that special souvenir. Mingle with the bustling throngs of traders and shoppers who gather to bargain for spices, fruits, vegetables, grains and craftwork. More shopping awaits at Le Caudan Waterfront followed by an outside visit to Tamil Temple before returning to the ship.
