Swim with the Sea Lions

Make the most of your time in Port Lincoln and experience something truly unique. Jump aboard the magnificent 63 foot Calypso Star for an unforgettable adventure. Turn the ocean into your playground as you spend the day swimming with Australian Sea Lions.
Depart from the pier for a short transfer to the Lincoln Marina. Here, you will board your vessel and begin the journey out to Hopkins Island. The boat will anchor just off shore where you can observe the resting colony of Australian sea lions. The curious will enter the water and the rest will soon follow. You might find yourself surrounded by 30 or more! Before long, wetsuits, masks and snorkels are on, and everyone is ready for the most playful swim ever experienced. As you enter the water, the sea lions will entice you to come and play. Don't be surprised if they show off their swimming ability with impressive somersaults and swirls.
The beach at Hopkins Island is protected so please be aware that you won't be able to go ashore, however the water is the place to be. After a while, the pace begins to slow as the sea lions become more accustomed to their visitors. Simply float in the water with an outstretched hand, stay nice and calm and they will approach. Imagine being one on one with an Australian Sea Lion. It doesn't get more magical than that!
After you've had your fill of swimming, hop back onboard where a hot shower and hot coffee will be waiting for you. Lunch, soft drinks and snacks are available for purchase (at your own expense) on the return cruise so please remember to bring some local currency with you.

Special Notes:

Age requirements:
- Minimum age of 8
- All children under the age of 16 require adult supervision at all times.
- If they are in the water their supervising adult is required to also be in the water at all times. If the child or the adult exit the water the adult or the child will also be required to do so.
- Any guest under the age of 18 needs to have their waiver form signed by a parent or guardian.
