Description
Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
Walk through the pages of past and present history with a leisurely stroll around Port Douglas. Your guide will regale you with tales of history, culture, and fun facts as you make your way past St. Mary's By The Sea, a lovely 100-year-old church overlooking the Coral Sea. Your walk continues on to Millionaire's Row. Situated on Port Douglas Hill, the highest point in town, this prime stretch of real estate is where many of Australia's wealthy like to live and play. But the town's Gold Rush days are represented, too; in fact, seven buildings remain from the 1870s and 1880s. Another remnant of the Gold Rush days is popular 4 Mile Beach. This wide expanse of tropical paradise, adorned with wispy palms and coconut trees, refers to the distance the miners had to walk to get to the first stopping point on their way up to the goldfields.
Special Notes:
You will walk over a variety of terrain including a steeply-inclined street and some steps. Guests must be able to walk for the duration of the tour at a reasonable pace.Details
