Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

A breathtaking experience by helicopter flight is sure to leave you spellbound as the sheer beauty of the Port Arthur region is revealed below. Make your way by short vehicle transfer to the helicopter departure point. A safety briefing is provided prior to take off. Then it's up and away for a 20 min scenic flight.

Pass the Port Arthur Historic site with views of the ship harboured in Long bay. From here track Southbound to see parts of the Three Capes Track and Crescent Bay – one of the Tasman Peninsula most pristine stretches of sand.

Follow the towering sea cliffs of Cape Pillar further as the helicopter passes high over the Tasman Island and "The Blade" where the cliffs stretch more than 300 metres above the Southern Ocean.

On the return to Port Arthur the flight will follow the same path in reverse – ensuring that passengers on both sides of the helicopter get the same fantastic views.

Special Notes:

IMPORTANT – Guests will need to walk approx. 5-10 mins from the tender arrival point to the coach departure point, the walk way is over uneven ground and includes a slight incline to reach the Visitor Centre.

Passengers must provide weights when booking. Any passengers over 110kg may be required to purchase a second seat.
Due to seat weight restrictions on helicopter types used, passengers over 130kg are unable to fly.
