Create your own day of adventure in one of Japan's most modern cities. Sightsee, shop, dine and explore! After a scenic ride passing dense forests and rolling countryside, your motor coach will arrive at Odori Park, truly the city's "central park." spanning 13 blocks. Peruse the underground shopping town, elaborate gardens, promenades and pushcart vendors. You may want to stop by the Botanic Garden. Established in 1886, it's part of Hokkaido University, and preserves part of the forest that covered the Ishikari Plain. Visit the alpine garden, greenhouse, and small museum that hosts artifacts of the Ainu people (The aboriginal people of the area.) A short 15- minute cab ride will bring you to the Sapporo Beer Museum, where you can learn about (and taste) one of the oldest and still most popular beer brands in Japan and around the world. It's your day to enjoy.
Special Notes:
-This tour will be escorted in both English and Japanese depending on the number of bookings, this tour is not guided.-Guests should bring local currency for any purchases.
-Wear comfortable, low-heeled walking shoes.
-Botanic Garden at Hokkaido University is closed on Sundays and Japanese national holidays. Until April 28th, only Greenhouse Garden is open to visitors.
-The Sapporo Beer Museum is closed on Mondays. If Monday is a public holiday, the museum is closed on the next day.
