This tour is featuring rice products in Niigata. Niigata is known as rice-producing region, and amount of production is No. 1 in Japan. Producing not only rice, products made from rice is also popular of course.
DHC brewery has been producing sake in the area over 100 years. Koshino-Umesato is the main brand, and this sake has been receiving Gold award in local competitive exhibition and Japan competitive exhibition many times. lease try tasting of their brand Koshino-Umesato.
Established in 1891, Yamada brewery is producing Miso, Shoyu, and other products. Miso, produced from fermented soybeans, is essential seasoning for Miso soup in Japan, and also has long been a ubiquitous seasoning in many types of Japanese foods. This establishment is particularly well known for its miso-zuke, (pickles), made using a variety of Japanese vegetables. Please try tasting of their products.
