Go off the beaten track for a priceless cultural encounter and experience the daily life of Druze (pronounced druse). During this life-enhancing odyssey get a close-up look into their day-to-day lives, their village, their food, religion and community. The Arabic and Hebrew-speaking Druze are a close-knit community renowned for their warmth, openness and hospitality and when you arrive you'll be greeted with friendly smiles. Experience what ordinary Druze lives are like when you meet a typical family and learn that their faith, founded in 11th century, is an interpretation of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and incorporates elements of Hinduism and even classical Greek philosophy. The Druze also have a separate educational system, and their religion, recognized by the Israeli government, has its own court system. Most families grow their own fruit and vegetables and during the tour, you'll be invited into the "madpa" guest room for a delicious meal.
