Indulge in small but delicious samplings of local sweet treats. Hawke's Bay may be home to New Zealand's oldest wineries but tucked among the wineries are farms and farmer's markets selling fresh produce and products unique to New Zealand. During this sweet culinary excursion, you'll travel through the Tuki Tuki Valley with stunning views of the majestic Te Mata Peak to the charming town of Havelock North. Here you'll stop at the Arataki Honey Centre for a taste of Hawke's Bay's famous 100% natural ice cream. You will also have the opportunity to taste some of the many delicious varieties of Arataki honey. Your return drive to the ship includes a stop at The Silky Oak Chocolate Company. Browse the gift shop, visit the café or take a walk through the Chocolate Museum, which features a 2,000-year-old Mayan chocolate pot. Don't leave without purchasing some of its confectionary creations.
