Celebrate Nagasaki's scenic highlights on a narrated drive that's perfect for passengers who prefer little or no walking. Board your motorcoach at the pier and drive through the cosmopolitan city of Nagasaki. Drive through at the Mt. Inasa Lookout is an opportunity to take in wide views of the city (weather permitting). Your travel route continues through downtown Nagasaki, past the Atomic Bomb Museum, to the Peace Memorial Park. Located near Ground Zero, the 30-foot- high "Statue of Peace" is a symbol of world peace. Your city drive takes in the historic Urakami Catholic Church, originally built in 1879 after a long ban on Christianity was lifted. Your driving route also passes the famed one-legged Torii Gate, which stands on only one pillar since the other was blown away by the atomic blast. A scenic drive returns you to port.
Special Notes:
This tour involves very little walking at Peace Memorial Park. This tour does not include the visit to the top observation deck on the Mt. Inasa. The tour is specially designed for guests who prefer little walking contents; guests with wheelchairs are reminded that few steps are required to negotiate to board the coach.A minimum of 20 passengers is required for this tour to operate.
