Begin your day at the pier in Mykonos and board one of the local kaiki (ferries) to the spectacular island of Delos and its most sacred and historic sites. Located at the center of the Cyclades island group, Delos was once a hub of trade activity and an important site of religious significance. According to Greek Mythology, Delos is the birthplace of Apollo, god of music, beauty and light. In the early 19th century, a dramatic excavation uncovered beautiful artifacts, mosaics, statues and buildings - and a walking tour reveals their former splendor.
Special Notes:
Passengers will be transported by local boat from Mykonos to the ancient harbor of Delos island.The site of Delos will be explored on foot and involves approximately two hours of walking over relatively even terrain. Low heeled comfortable shoes, water and a hat are highly recommended. Passengers with physical limitations are requested to take this into consideration.
Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
