It's not hard to take it easy on Deer Island. Designed for small groups, this treasured isle offers an endless supply of adventure. From the pier, you'll travel along Mazatlan's ocean front to an exclusive Golden Zone resort, where you will board a skiff to a beautiful sandy beach. Along the way, you may be greeted by pelicans and seagulls so keep your camera handy. Once you arrive, you can take a swim in the crystal-clear waters or stretch out on the sand and soak up the sun. Then, you'll embark on a two-person kayak ride that's ideal for those even with little or no experience. After a short safety orientation, you'll board your kayak and follow your guide along the island's pristine shore where you'll see rocky cliffs and the occasional badger playing on the beach. Back at the beach, you'll enjoy refreshments before returning to the pier.
Special Notes:
Guests who decide to stay in the Golden Zone will have to make their own way back to the ship. Liability waiver is required to be completed. Tour event sequence may vary. This Tour is designed for passengers in good physical condition and need to know how to swim. The minimum age to participate is 15 and must be accompanied by a parent. Maximum combined weight for each two-person kayak is 181 kilograms (400 pounds). Beware of sea-orchids, sting rays and jellyfish when in season, note that water is waist deep next to island. Marine life sightings are not guaranteed. Deer Island is an uninhabited and protected isle, hence no WC services, please use restroom at venue beforehand.For security reasons if your Guide foresees any Guest´s difficulty in this activity, Guest will be asked to terminate that section of the tour.
