Spend the day getting to know the aquatic beauty of Ecuador's only coastal park. Experienced and novice snorkelers alike come from around the world to experience the warm, turquoise waters and the colorful marine life of Machalilla National Park. A mask, snorkel and swim vest will be provided but you can bring your own snorkel equipment. From the pier, it's a two-hour journey to the town of Puerto Lopez. And it's definitely worth the wait. Once you arrive, you'll grab your gear and board a boat that will cruise to the perfect snorkeling spot. After your captain drops anchor, you'll descend into the peaceful water full of coral fans in a variety of amazing colors, as well as a number of rainbow-colored fish, morays, snappers, whitetip sharks, green sea turtles and various species of sea stars, sea urchins and sea cucumbers. A boxed light snack is offered onboard the boat after your snorkel.
