You will enjoy a kayak tour in the bay of Sant Elm with Snorkel stop and Posidonia "garden" visit, where you can witness the aquatic plant for yourself whilst understanding from the experienced guide how this impacts the ocean and the world we live in.
You will also learn how the threats to this plant impact the ecosystem, and how we as individuals can play our part in protecting it and raising awareness, including the battle against global warming, as featured in the National Geographic documentary, Pristine Seas: The Power of Protection.
This slow-growing plant is highly threatened by the actions of anchors, waste water contamination and other pollutants. In the words of Manu San Félix, a member of the National Geographic Pristine Seas Project: "Posidonia is the architect of the Mediterranean marine ecosystem", on this exclusive tour, you will learn why this is true.
