Experience the unspoiled nature of Andalusia on this half day excursion through southern Spain. Take a scenic drive passing by mountains until you reach the Malaga Lake District and El Chorro Gorge with its turquoise-colored lake surrounded by pine forests and huge walls of rock. The Rio Guadalhorce slices its way through the breathtaking Garganta del Chorro (El Chorro gorge). The gorge is about 4 kilometers long, 400 meters deep, and depending on the season, only 10 meters wide. Its rock walls are very popular among rock climbers. Stop at "El Kiosko" restaurant and stroll independently around the magnificent location, walk to the viewpoint of "Sillon del Rey," or purchase a refreshment. Continue to the whitewashed village of Alora, and stop at a bodega for some locally produced wine and cheese. After this tasting, you'll return to your ship with a short panoramic drive of Malaga and optional stop at the shuttle drop-off point.
Special Notes:
From the "Kiosko" to the "Sillón del Rey" panoramic viewpoint (optional), guests must negotiate approximately 240 meters (700 feet). This tour is not fully wheelchair accessible. A limited number of folding wheelchairs can be accommodated in the bus luggage compartment.Details
