Top sights of the northern Kyoto region are on display during this full-day adventure. A 60-minute scenic drive brings you to a long and narrow spit known as Amanohashidate, or 'Bridge of Heaven,' one of Japan's top-three scenic views. Photograph this stunning landscape, then continue on to Motoise Kono Shrine, built using the oldest architectural style known in Japan. Continue on to the cable car that whisks you up to Kasamatsu Park. From this dramatic vantage point, look at Amanohashidate upside-down and between your legs, which makes it appear as if it were suspended in mid-air. Pause for lunch, then hop aboard a 25-minute Ine Bay Cruise. Sail past the unique buildings called funaya, traditional boathouses that appear to float on water. Back on land, stroll through the town and step inside the funaya, used by generations of local fishermen, to take a look around. A relaxed 90-minute drive returns you to port.
