What you will visit:
By Order of the Peaky Blinders Location Tour
The award-winning BBC television drama 'Peaky Blinders' follows the exploits of the notorious Shelby crime family. Although set in Birmingham in the aftermath of World War I, Liverpool has served as one of the primary filming locations for the show since 2021. 'Peaky Blinders' is actually based on a true story, and you'll learn the history of Liverpool at each location. The next time you watch the show, you'll experience it in a whole new way. Led by a spirited local guide, the tour includes multiple photo stops and a refreshment to complete this brilliant day.
What you will see along the way:
The seaside town of Liverpool is considered a cultural hub of the United Kingdom. With its rich port past, diverse population and urban regeneration, it has earned its moniker, 'The World in One City.' Liverpool's waterfront area is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasts a fine collection of commercial and maritime architecture. Your tour includes stops at 10 top locations used as a backdrop for the "Peaky Blinders" series.
Photo Opportunities:
Fill your camera with some of the most picturesque venues in Liverpool and the cinematic sights of top 'Peaky Blinder' film locations.
St. Georges Hall
Liverpool's historic St. Georges Hall and its neighboring heritage buildings are suitably moody and the perfect exterior location for when Grace passes information about the Shelby family to Inspector Campbell.
Falkner Street/Square
An early 19th century street, this area served as the location for the infamous letter-bombing scene in the show's second season.
Isla Gladstone
One of Liverpool's most treasured venues, its Victorian architecture and heritage charms are set off by blooming gardens.
Stanley Dock
Overlooking the River Mersey, Stanley Dock is home to several architecturally and historically relevant buildings, including the iconic Tobacco Warehouse, which was constructed in 1901 and was the world's largest brick building of its time.
Seacombe Ferry
Seacombe Ferry Terminal was seen festooned in vintage flags, mock boarding signs, and stacked parcels in the third year of the 'Peaky Blinders' series. It is dominated by several landmarks, including St. Paul parish church, the Mersey ferry terminal, and the huge structure housing the ventilation systems for the Kingsway Tunnel.
Port Sunlight
This charming model village features rows of quaint, recently restored, Edwardian workers' cottages along wide boulevards. With a mix of architectural styles, it's a perfect film location, and it was here in Port Sunlight Village that Thomas bought Aunt Polly a proper house for her birthday.
Brewery Village
Liverpool's iconic Cains Brewery Village, located in a former industrial hub, is home to a themed Peaky Blinder's Bar, a popular local attraction with a 1920s motif.
Snack:
This tour also includes a stop for cream tea in Port Sunlight, fictional home to the mother of the Peaky Blinder Gang.
